An interview with actress Jennifer Coolidge is going viral in Sweden this weekend. While speaking to Swedish film site MovieZine in London, Coolidge suddenly remembered an old flame from Sweden.
“I dated a really handsome Swedish guy… His name is Rafael Edholm,” Coolidge revealed.
When told that Edholm is actually a well-known Swedish actor and filmmaker, she laughed in surprise:
“Why didn’t I stick with him then? Rafael, I didn’t know you were gonna be successful!”
The viral clip has been viewed over 2 million times on social media in just 24 hours.
Rafael Edholm has since responded with a video message of his own.
“Jennifer, this is your famous Swedish ex. Where the hell are you? Come visit me in Sweden,” he said in an Instagram post.
Coolidge and Edholm dated back in the 1980s, living together in New York while attending acting classes. Edholm tells MovieZine that they’ve stayed in touch over the years — and that he even once tried to cast her in a Swedish film he was developing.
